My paperback proofs have arrived. They look really good. I still need to go through them with an extremely fine toothed comb, but at first perusal I see no issues. The cover colors from front to back have blended nicely and I like the way the print looks on the pages. A few days, a week at most, of review and then I should be able to hit the doink button and have the trade paperback of The Harrowing go live on Amazon alongside the already available Kindle version. Yes, the title of this post is an homage to the Beatles. It is also a declaration of a change in my status as an Indie writer. The proof copies of my debut novel, The Harrowing, are on the way. The first meeting went extremely well and I'm looking forward to the next. For those of you interested, now begins a nerve wracking time for me. For any writer. The publication of my debut novel. I am assailed by many doubts. Will it be well received? Will it receive good reviews? Will readers like it? Will anybody even buy it?

These are common and perfectly normal feelings. I understand that. My understanding, however, doesn't change a thing. I'm a great, big ball of nerves right now. But I'm excited to be beginning the next stage of my career as a writer.

Now I can finally put The Harrowing, as an active project at least, out of mind so I can begin working on my next novel entitled Harlan's Mill. Check out the books tab on my website for a brief overview of this work.
